SHL!ve exhibitor, Crowded has created a contactless ‘digital trigger’ to ensure touch-free crossings and improve safety among road users.
The CROSS system is gaining traction with a number of British local authorities and is set to launch internationally later this year.
CROSS is a unique offering, comprising of several technologies that provide universal ability to operate physical network and urban infrastructure including controlled pedestrian crossings, maximising inclusion and accessibility.
Gary Dale, Chief Operating Officer at Crowded said: “We worked closely with a number of disability organisations to ensure the software was accessible and catered for those with mobility issues, as well as those who may be partially sighted or have other sensory needs. We want to optimise safety, accessibility and experience for many people who need assistance in navigating the infrastructure around towns, cities and highways, in a bid to remove any stress and safety concerns as we move into a post-pandemic world.”
Watch the video to see the CROSS system in action and to hear from Christine Armstrong, Wakefield BID Director on the benefits of using the technology.
