Winvic Construction Ltd has been reappointed to the Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) Highways Framework for a further four-year term.

The contractor has secured a position on the General Works Lot, which covers projects valued between £1.5M and £6M and forms part of a framework with a total value of £56M. The lot will support the delivery of a broad range of highways and infrastructure schemes across Lincolnshire.

The framework encompasses highway improvements, maintenance and renewal works, enabling the council to continue investing in a safe, resilient and well-connected transport network throughout the county.

Building on established delivery

The reappointment follows four years of project delivery across Lincolnshire, during which Winvic has acted as main contractor on a series of complex highways and infrastructure schemes. The company said it has worked closely with LCC and other stakeholders to minimise disruption to road users, improve efficiency and maximise long-term value for communities.

Alongside project delivery, Winvic highlighted its focus on social value. Over the previous framework term, the contractor supported the local economy by prioritising procurement through small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations. It also created employment and training opportunities, including apprenticeships, structured career pathways, school engagement initiatives and STEM outreach programmes.

Community-focused activities have included volunteering and local sponsorships aimed at generating lasting benefits beyond the immediate construction works.

Commitment to quality and collaboration

Rob Cook, managing director for civils and infrastructure at Winvic, said the reappointment reflects the strength of the company’s relationship with the council and the quality of work delivered over the previous term.

He said the business had completed multiple highways schemes through a collaborative and solutions-led approach, with a continued emphasis on safety, programme certainty and positive community impact.

Winvic added that it intends to build on its regional experience during the new framework term, delivering sustainable highways infrastructure designed to benefit residents, road users and the wider Lincolnshire economy.
