Torquay Group has confirmed a change in leadership as it looks ahead to the next stage of its development.
Scott Paton will step down as Group CEO after two years in the role. He joined the organisation during a pivotal period, tasked with bringing together a collection of businesses and laying the groundwork for future growth. During his tenure, Paton played a key role in improving collaboration across the group and helping to shape its current structure.
The company thanked Paton for his leadership and contribution over the past two years.
Taking over as CEO is Neil Sampson, who outlined his appreciation for Paton’s work in building the foundations of the group. He said the focus now will be on strengthening those foundations and harnessing the collective strengths of the businesses within the organisation.
Sampson brings extensive experience to the role, having led Solar Gates for more than 20 years and more recently heading up P&D Specialist Services. He has been closely involved in driving innovation and adaptability within Solar Gates, qualities he is expected to embed across the wider group.
Under his leadership, Torquay Group aims to further develop its capabilities by encouraging practical innovation, problem-solving, and a willingness to take new approaches.
The group’s businesses will continue to collaborate closely, combining their expertise to support clients across the highways, infrastructure, and construction sectors.
