Transport for London (TfL) has warned drivers against ignoring road signs for the Gallows Corner full closure.

TfL has issued a warning to motorists not following the "vital rules" in place while construction works are underway on the Gallows Corner roundabout and flyover.

The junction shut completely at 9pm on Monday (June 23) - to all traffic except black cabs, buses and emergency vehicles - causing "serious delays" as residents made their way to work on Tuesday.

However, TfL has urged people to stick to the rules on road signs or face "enforcement action".

A TfL spokesperson said: "For the safety of everyone using the road network and people working on this project, drivers must follow instructions on road signs.

"Enforcement action could be taken against drivers who do not follow these vital rules."
