Principal People, one of the UK’s leading health, safety, environment and quality specialist recruitment consultancies, has joined Safer Highways as members.
Established stablished in 1986, it has grown to become one of the most reputable and well known dedicated HSEQ organisation operating nationwide. It has extensive experience and a proven track record of offering tailored solutions for permanent and contract requirements, supplying health, safety, environment and quality professionals across all industry sectors including highways and transport.
The organisation’s charity, Safety4Good was set up to raise the positive profile of the excellent proactive work that health and safety professionals do to protect and serve their communities and colleagues within their chosen organisations and sectors.
Safety4Good brings together health and safety leaders from around the world as well as the UK, who have together driven the initiative to achieve success through an industry leading future leaders programme (with over 100 individuals already included), hosting events to share best practice and its soon to be formed foundation, which will offer individuals from under-represented backgrounds the opportunity to flourish within the profession.
Speaking about joining as members, Josh Huggins, Managing Director of Principal People and Founding Trustee of Safety4Good said: “Joining Safer Highways was an easy decision because for us there is a real similarity in our aligned visions and values, especially through our charity Safety4Good which, like Safer Highways, aims to develop a positive profile for the health, safety and wellbeing sectors as well as present it as a career of choice and empower individuals and organisations to be the best they can be. Safer Highways does all of that and more and I look forward to helping share best practice and other work to shine a light on the exceptional work done in this industry.”
Kevin Robinson, Chief Executive of Safer Highways said: “I am really looking forward to working with Safety4Good to help move forward the work of Safer Highways and the industry so that through our many programmes, our SH L!ve event and communications channels, we can make even more significant progress to help deliver better working practices and thinking around health, safety and wellbeing that the highways industry can be proud of.”
