Engineering and design consultancy GHD has secured a place on the London Borough of Ealing’s Highways and Transport Services Framework for a second term, continuing its role in supporting infrastructure and public realm projects across London.

The company has been reappointed to Lot 3 (General Engineering) under the 2025–2029 framework, which runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2029. The framework is accessible to 33 local authorities and covers a wide range of highways, transport and public space improvements.

GHD’s London team will continue to apply its “Place First” approach, which focuses on tailoring schemes to local needs while drawing on experience and best practice from projects across multiple boroughs. The approach combines value-led design, sustainability considerations and practical delivery insights from concept through to detailed design.

David Hurren, Business Group Leader for Transport Solutions at GHD, said the reappointment reflects the strength of the company’s work and collaborative approach.

“We are delighted to continue working with Ealing and other London boroughs through this framework,” he said. “It recognises the expertise of our teams and allows us to keep contributing to the development of sustainable communities across the capital.”

Under Lot 3, GHD will provide a broad range of engineering and advisory services. These include civil and highways engineering, asset management, road safety audits, transport planning and modelling, and support for traffic and parking orders.

The scope also covers urban design, public realm improvements, data analysis, and initiatives aligned with the “Healthy Streets” approach.

Additional services include utilities and drainage design, structural engineering, street lighting, development-related highway works, and community engagement and consultation.

GHD has previously supported Ealing and other boroughs through the earlier framework, delivering projects ranging from active travel schemes and public realm enhancements to wider programme support and staff secondments. Its work has extended across boroughs including Kingston, Haringey, Wandsworth and Richmond.

Through the new framework period, GHD will continue working closely with councils, partners and local communities to deliver safer streets, support local economies, and encourage more sustainable travel choices across London.
