Civil engineering firm Crown Plus has entered its second decade with a change in leadership, appointing Jenny Moten as its new Managing Director.
Moten, who joined the company as Executive Director in September 2025, has quickly made an impact, taking on the top role in under a year. Her promotion follows a period of rapid growth for the business, during which revenue has doubled, the workforce has increased by 40%, and more than £2 million has been invested in new plant and equipment to support expanding operations.
Bringing extensive experience from senior positions at organisations including National Highways, Amey, Cadent and Core Highways, Moten steps into the role at a pivotal time for Crown Plus. The appointment comes shortly after the company marked its 10-year anniversary—milestone defined by a focus on innovation, resilience, and sustainable approaches to highway drainage remediation.
Speaking about her new role, Moten said she is excited to lead the company through its next stage of development, highlighting the strength of the team and its reputation for delivering high-quality, safety-focused solutions. She added that the business is well positioned to continue scaling and strengthening its presence in the market.
Crown Plus was founded in 2015 by Gary Price and Paul Conner with the aim of delivering more efficient and environmentally responsible solutions within the highways sector. Over the past decade, the company has grown into a nationally recognised business with an expanding footprint.
A significant step in its growth journey came earlier this year when Mercia Ventures invested just under £4 million into the company. At the time, Crown Plus had already seen its turnover nearly triple over three years, underlining strong demand for its services.
While the investment laid the groundwork for expansion, the company credits Moten’s leadership with accelerating progress and driving momentum across the business.
Founding director Paul Conner praised her contribution, noting that her leadership, industry knowledge and drive have already delivered tangible results. He added that the founders are confident she is the right person to guide the company into its next phase of growth.
