Clearway, an experienced UK-wide security services provider, was recently engaged through Forest Traffic Services Ltd to secure a high profile site in the Wokingham Borough for Milestone Infrastructure.
The site was the £6.8 million project at Winnersh Triangle Park and Ride, Bracknell. The works included increasing the number of parking spaces by a hundred to 491, once completed, which demonstrates the size of the site in question.
The security solution consisted of a Clearway solar powered inView CCTV Tower with sensors positioned around the perimeter for security purposes. These were activated during our tenure and those attempted intrusions recorded and dealt with by our NSI Gold Cat II Alarm Receiving Centre based in West Yorkshire. We also partnered with Solar Gates on the scheme who provided their solar powered access control gates with ANPR.
We’re pleased to say the client has been really happy with the scheme and through this project Forest Traffic Services Ltd have been using the towers for other applications within their business too.
Simon White, Strategic Development Director, Milestone Infrastructure said:
“We have been delighted with the technology and service provided by Clearway. The fact that the solution is solar reduces our carbon footprint and the remote intervention from their National Monitoring station, when we had a break in, meant that we didn’t need to have a physical security guard on site, reducing risk to both people and plant. The incident was dealt with remotely and safely whilst all of our staff and operatives were offsite”.
Prys Lewis, Commercial Director, Forest Traffic Services Ltd also commented:
“We are working more closely with Clearway to provide their innovative solutions to our clients’ increasingly complex requirements. With (human) resources limited and often unreliable, this solution has been more cost effective than having 24hr security on site for security patrols and access during site open hours, without affecting the integrity of the service.”
