After over 25 years at the helm, Aidan Clarke has decided it’s time to move on and take on other challenges and opportunities.
Aidan said “I am proud of what everyone at Carnell has created over the last 25 years, something truly exceptional. I’m honoured that safety has been embedded throughout the business, and the drive to innovate new products and make real change to the industry has been my passion. I believe we have instilled both a safety culture, and an innovation culture into the ‘DNA’ of the business.
I’m pleased to announce my successor is Andrew Sharp who from 1st June will be undertaking the role of deputy MD, working with me through a transitional period to the end of September. Andrew will then take on the role of MD from 1st October. I know I’m leaving the business in safe hands and that Carnell will continue growing from strength to strength.”
Having joined Carnell in 2019 as Business Director, Andrew understands Carnell’s values, vision and culture making him well placed to take on the role of MD. He has over 20 years’ experience within the industry, a wealth of experience working with Highways England, and a strong track record of delivering ‘value add’ business change and efficiencies, in a collaborative and client oriented context.
Andrew said “I’m excited at the opportunity to lead the Carnell business. Aidan’s legacy passes on to me a thriving business, and a strong, talented leadership team underpinning our future. We have a talented, forward thinking team that offers great innovative solutions and services for our clients. I look forward to leading the business into the future, maintaining our ambitions for growth and meeting the sustainability challenges ahead.”
