Transport for Wales (TfW) has announced it will adopt Snapper Services’ Mosaiq Transit Intelligence Suite to strengthen the way it manages and improves public transport across the nation.

The data-driven platform will allow TfW to dig deeper into its operational information, providing insights that can guide network improvements, planning, and decision-making.

Lee Robinson, Executive Director for Regional Transport and Integration at TfW, said:

“We are looking forward to working with Snapper Services and digging into some of our data to help inform better public transport solutions for people in Wales.”

Originally founded in New Zealand in 2006, Snapper Services has grown into an international provider of transit data solutions. Its Mosaiq platform has already been rolled out in the UK, including by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and is gaining momentum globally.

Jon Salmon, Chief Revenue Officer at Snapper Services, commented:

“We’re proud to be working with Transport for Wales on a project of this scale and importance. As someone with strong ties to Wales, it’s especially meaningful to be supporting improvements to public transport here. This is a testament to the strength of our technology and the collaborative spirit of our team.”

TfW chose Mosaiq for its ability to deliver scalable, evidence-led insights, supporting the authority’s long-term strategy and upcoming preparations for future franchising models.

Snapper Services said the partnership is a major step towards responsive, data-led transport planning at a national level, and could serve as a blueprint for how analytics can help deliver smarter, more efficient services for passengers.
