Transport for London is set to introduce a network of solar-powered parcel lockers across its estate after agreeing a new partnership aimed at making parcel collection and returns more convenient while supporting more sustainable deliveries across the capital.

The initiative, delivered through Places for London, TfL's commercial property company, will see Yeep! install parcel lockers at more than 50 locations, with the first units being deployed at London Underground station car parks.

The lockers will provide customers with round-the-clock access, allowing parcels to be collected, sent or returned at any time of day without the need to wait for home deliveries.

The partnership reflects a growing trend of integrating everyday services into transport hubs, enabling commuters to combine parcel collections with their regular journeys while reducing the number of dedicated delivery trips across London's road network.

By locating the lockers at existing transport destinations, the scheme is also expected to support more efficient logistics operations, helping to ease congestion and lower transport-related emissions.

Jamie Dickinson, Chief Executive of Yeep!, said:

"This partnership is about integrating parcel services into places that already form part of people's daily journeys, giving consumers additional flexibility around how they collect, send and return parcels.
"It also provides a compelling opportunity to support more efficient delivery networks that can help reduce unnecessary journeys, ease congestion and contribute to broader efforts to lower CO2 emissions across the capital."

The rollout forms part of Places for London's wider strategy to make better use of Transport for London's property portfolio by introducing services that improve convenience for passengers while supporting environmental objectives.

Once complete, the network will provide accessible collection points across key transport locations, offering an alternative to home deliveries and helping to support London's transition towards smarter, lower-carbon urban logistics.
