Infrastructure services specialist M Group has reported its strongest financial performance to date, posting record revenue, profitability and future workload following a year of rapid expansion, major acquisitions and the successful integration of its newly unified brand.

Results for the year ending 31 March 2026 reveal significant growth across the business, with turnover increasing by 23% to £3.1 billion and EBITDA (before exceptional and non-recurring items) climbing to £217.6 million, up from £155.5 million the previous year. EBITDA margins also strengthened from 6.2% to 7.1%.

The company's future pipeline also reached a new high, with its order book growing by 18% to £10.4 billion, providing strong visibility for the years ahead. M Group says more than 70% of its anticipated 2026/27 revenue is already secured through existing contracts.

The performance follows the group's decision to consolidate almost 20 legacy businesses under a single M Group identity in 2025, alongside an ambitious acquisition strategy designed to broaden its technical capabilities and strengthen its position across the UK's infrastructure markets.

During the year, M Group completed the acquisitions of Telent, Cyro Cyber and Aran, building on the earlier addition of BGEN and significantly expanding its expertise in digital technology, cyber security, communications and specialist engineering.

The business says the acquisitions are central to its strategy of supporting clients throughout the entire infrastructure asset lifecycle, from design and construction through to operation, maintenance, renewal and digital assurance.

Today, the company operates from more than 300 locations across the UK, employs around 14,000 people, and serves customers across the energy, water, transport, technology and communications, defence, industrial and public sectors.

Andrew Findlay, Chief Executive Officer of M Group, said:

"This is an exceptionally strong set of results, demonstrating the progress we are making in growing and transforming the business, and delivering for our clients. With more than 300 locations across the UK, I am proud of the work our 14,000 people have completed for our clients, solving their most complex strategic challenges, and demonstrating our status as a solutions provider across the full asset lifecycle.
"A highlight of the year has been the continued successful integration of new businesses, adding significant additional capabilities to M Group, and allowing us to provide a greater range of services to our clients. BGEN provides highly technical engineering solutions, Telent has added significant technological expertise, and Cyro Cyber gives us a leading cyber security business to protect our clients' worlds.
"Together with our greatest asset, our people, and our strong investor backing, these capabilities mean we are well placed to continue the rapid growth and progress we've already seen."

Alongside its financial performance, M Group also reported continued progress against its environmental and safety objectives.

The business secured multiple RoSPA safety awards, expanded the electrification of its vehicle fleet and reduced its carbon intensity—measured as emissions per £1 million of turnover—by almost 19% during the year.

Its sustainability performance was also recognised by EcoVadis, which upgraded the company's rating from 'Committed'to Bronze, reflecting improvements in environmental, social and governance performance.

With a growing order book, strengthened technical capability and a client base whose average relationship now spans 19 years, M Group believes it is well positioned to capitalise on increasing investment across the UK's critical infrastructure sectors.
