A newly branded Sany excavator is touring construction sites to raise awareness of the Lighthouse Charity, which offers emotional, physical and financial support to workers across the UK and Ireland.
The initiative is a collaboration between Chippindale Hire & Sales (part of the AER Rents Group) and dealer Banner Equipment, who wrapped the machine in the charity’s distinctive branding. The goal is to highlight the charity’s free, 24/7 confidential helpline and remind workers that help is always available.
Paul Blake, managing director at Chippindale Hire & Sales, said the project reflects a wider commitment to wellbeing:“Too many in our sector still suffer in silence with mental health or financial struggles. By sending this machine out to live sites, we want to spread awareness and encourage people to seek support when they need it.”
Rob Gowling, general manager at Banner Equipment, added:“This shows the positive impact businesses can make when they unite behind a cause. The Lighthouse Charity provides invaluable services, and this partnership ensures its message reaches the people who need it most.”
Sarah Bolton, chief executive of the Lighthouse Charity, welcomed the effort, noting that the excavator will serve as a “moving reminder that support is never far away” as it works across regional projects.
