Date and Venue announced for Highways Heroes 2022

Following last weeks hugely successful inaugural Highways Heroes Awards, the organisers are delighted to announce that the 2022 event will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on the 7th December.

Grosvenor House, by JW Marriott, is an iconic venue which has 5-star amenities and an absolutely extraordinary location just outside Hyde Park on London's Park Lane.

After selling out in under five minutes in 2021, organisers quickly realised that demand for tickets had outstripped the maximum capacity which the current venue could offer, as Freya Wells, Chief Operating officer of the awards explained, she said.

"2021 was a really pleasant surprise, as industry really took the Heroes awards to heart and seeing the reactions of the winners on the night was a special and emotional experience for everyone in attendance.

"We knew that the potential for us to deliver a good event was always there given the strengths within our own team, but the level of engagement we have seen both pre and post event have been absolutely mind blowing.

"As such it became very apparent quite quickly we needed to seek out a bigger venue. We are delighted to have secured a prestigious venue in the Grosvenor House Hotel and whilst we are grateful to the QEII centre for helping to deliver an amazing event this year we look forward to welcoming colleagues next December to the event's new home for what we hope will be an equally stunning evening."

Organised by Safer Highways, and supported by many of the most forward thinking organisations in the sector, the awards are the only time the supply chain and the client body have come together to recognise the value and importance of those unsung heroes we put to work everyday.

Set up after a time of unprecedented change not only in our industry, but as part of our everyday lives. Safer Highways believes this is the ideal event to celebrate the hard work and success of our workers, who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise the heroic actions of them which, until now, has gone unnoticed.

Whether its saving someone from danger or risk of injury, helping a member of the public to safety, or supporting a team member in the face of abuse the highways heroes’ awards recognise individuals who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise their heroic actions.

Nominations for the National Highways supported event will open on Monday 4th April.
