Balfour Beatty hits the jackpot at APM Project Management Awards

Last night, Balfour Beatty took home one of the top accolades at this years’ APM Project Management Awards – securing the ‘Contribution to Project Management: company or consultancy’ award.

The annual APM Project Management Awards celebrate organisations, individuals and projects across a broad range of sectors around the globe, recognising their incredible achievements over the past year.

Balfour Beatty was highly commended for its commitment to positive and meaningful progression of the project profession and for its excellence in project management practice; with 1,300 members in its UK Project Management community driving innovation and delivering world-class infrastructure projects in-line with its Build to Last strategy, values and behaviours.

Nigel Russell, Chair of Balfour Beatty’s Project Management Leadership Group and Project Director for the Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA joint venture responsible for the management of the construction and delivery of HS2’s Old Oak Common station said: “This is a remarkable achievement – truly reflective of the fact that Project Management is at the heart of all that Balfour Beatty does.

“At Old Oak Common, we are already reaping the benefits of Balfour Beatty’s Project Management expertise, as we tap into the power of its people to successfully deliver what will become the UK’s best-connected station and one of Britain’s largest regeneration projects.”

Balfour Beatty is dedicated to driving continuous improvement across its business, regularly enhancing the digital tools required to deliver further efficiencies in the management of its schemes, whilst also upskilling and empowering its employees to embed Project Management principles through dedicated training modules.
