Rail passengers travelling First Class with Avanti West Coast can now enjoy a specially branded craft beer created in partnership with Staffordshire brewer Titanic Brewery.
The new offering, named First Class IPA, has been developed exclusively for the intercity operator and has been added to its complimentary First Class food and drink menu. Presented in bespoke packaging featuring rail-inspired artwork, the beer is based on one of Titanic Brewery's established India Pale Ale recipes.
The collaboration brings together two well-known brands with strong roots in the West Midlands and North West, while also supporting Avanti West Coast's commitment to sourcing products from businesses located along its route.
Titanic Brewery, which has been producing beer in Stoke-on-Trent for four decades, operates less than five miles from the city's railway station. The partnership is expected to support local employment and strengthen links between regional producers and the rail industry.
The launch follows a previous collaboration between the two organisations through Avanti West Coast's Guest Ale programme, which showcases beers from independent breweries situated across the West Coast Main Line corridor. In 2025, passengers were offered Titanic Brewery's Centenary Anniversary Ale to mark 100 years since Stoke-on-Trent was granted city status.
Avanti West Coast's Food and Beverage Development Manager, Rob Taylor, said the introduction of First Class IPA reflects the operator's ongoing efforts to highlight high-quality local products while enhancing the onboard customer experience.
He noted that Titanic Brewery's beers had proven popular with passengers and said the new addition offers customers another opportunity to enjoy a regional product while travelling across the network.
Titanic Brewery Director Keith Bott MBE welcomed the partnership, describing it as a proud moment for a brewery that has been based in Stoke-on-Trent for 40 years.
He said it was particularly rewarding to see the company's beer being served on trains passing through the city where it is brewed, adding that feedback from passengers who have enjoyed Titanic beers during their journeys has reinforced the value of the collaboration.
The launch forms part of a broader trend across the rail sector, with operators increasingly working with local suppliers and independent producers to enhance onboard catering while supporting regional economies and small businesses.
First Class IPA is now available exclusively to Avanti West Coast First Class customers travelling on services across the operator's network.
