Goldman Sachs-funded environmental services business, Adler & Allan, has acquireddrainage and civil engineering specialist, Glanville Environmental, for an undisclosed sum.
Devon-headquartered Glanville employs more than 180 staff across five depots throughout the southwest, and is Adler & Allan’s largest acquisition to date – seventh in the utilities sector and tenth overall in the last three years.
This acquisition follows remediation specialist, MEL Environmental Solutions, joining the Adler & Allan Group in October last year.
Beyond drainage civil engineering, Glanvilles’ services include geospatial surveys, high-pressure jetting, and gullies, as well as waste movement and septic tank emptying.
Its clients include water, rail, and construction businesses.
Mike Williamson, managing director of the water division at Adler & Allan, said the acquisition was another step in the firm’s plan to scale up its own operations and offering to the UK environmental solutions market.
Glanville managing director, Jamie Treliving, said: “We are thrilled to be joining the Adler & Allan Group. The extent of Adler & Allan’s service range, combined with our presence in the Southwest is a fantastic opportunity to broaden our customer offer, whilst further strengthening Adler & Allan’s leading position in the wastewater recycling industry.”
