AECOM has been appointed to provide cost management services for both Ireland’s National Transport Authority (NTA) and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), supporting the delivery of nationally significant transport projects.
Under the NTA’s infrastructure cost management framework, AECOM will act as the single-source provider following a competitive tender process. The three-year framework, with an option to extend by a further year, covers cost estimation, risk and value management, peer review of external services, and the development of cost management guidelines and procedures.
Separately, AECOM has secured a place on TII’s multi-party commercial services framework. This four-year agreement includes the provision of cost management, claims advisory, claims mitigation and expert witness services.
The framework’s scope may expand to include engineering, project management and other professional services, supporting TII alongside regional design offices and local authorities across the Republic of Ireland.
Ciaran Timpson, AECOM’s Cost Management Infrastructure Lead for Ireland, described the appointments as a “significant strategic milestone”, strengthening relationships with both transport bodies.
“These wins provide greater certainty, efficiency and value across their portfolios, supporting the efficient delivery of complex infrastructure programmes of national importance,” he said.
AECOM has previously worked with both agencies and is currently delivering technical advisory, transport modelling and consultancy services under existing frameworks.
The new appointments reinforce AECOM’s role in shaping Ireland’s transport and mobility infrastructure pipeline.
