A section of the A47 will close while utility diversions are carried out as part of the ongoing North Tuddenham to Easton improvement works.
The A47 will be fully closed in both directions between the Honingham Roundabout and Easton Roundabout between 8pm on February 7 and 6am on February 10.
During the closure, no access will be available from side roads onto the A47 or into Easton from the roundabout on Dereham Road.
Additionally, there will be no access to Norwich Road/Mattishall Road from the Honingham Roundabout.
People living along the closed stretch of the road will be escorted through by traffic marshals and emergency services access will be maintained.
A spokesman for National Highways East issued an apology for any inconvenience caused, stating: “We’d like to apologise for any disturbance caused by our work, and we will try to keep this to a minimum where possible."
The work is part of a £100-250m project to upgrade the A47 between North Tuddenham and Easton to a dual carriageway.
Starting in 2023, the work will complete the dual carriageway between Norwich and Dereham, supporting economic growth and easing congestion in the area and is expected to be completed by 2027.
