Stamp it Out ends relationship with FYLD over app development.

Relationship between Stamp it Out and FYLD ended

Reluctantly Stamp it Out, an industry wide initiative, have ended their formal relationship with technology organisation FYLD over the development of an app (entitled project X) designed to enable the workforce instances of abuse.

Having entered an exclusive consultation period in November 2021 with an announcement via the Safer Highways website, senior members of the organisation’s leadership team embarked upon a period of due diligence which involved parties on both sides including members of the Safer Highways advisory board.

However, at the end of this period, and following delays due to contractual negotiations, in the development of a Minimal Viable Product (MVP), meaning deadlines will be missed, it is now apparent that the FYLD option should no longer be looked upon as an option of choice.

Speaking about the announcement Kevin Robinson, CEO of Safer Highways and one of the leads on the project, said,

“Regrettably we will not be moving forward with FYLD in developing our Stamp it Out app and the future development beyond that.

“Our vision is to deliver a “forever free” mechanism to report incidents, this will be accessible to the smallest contractor, every local authority and enable every main contractor to feed into a central repository.

“In FYLD, we thought we had found this, however, as negotiations progressed and we found ourselves poles apart, principally around costs, it became very apparent that it was time to draw stumps and move on.

“Personally, I wish the team at FYLD the very best as I feel they genuinely have a ground-breaking product, but sadly we cannot make this fit within the budgets we currently have available to us.

“We have a mandate to deliver a fully functioning reporting tool by #respectourroadworkers week on the 20th of June and are already engaged with other third parties to do exactly that.”

“I am excited that on the 21st June at Holyrood Palace we will, for the first time, be able to showcase to our industry our app, (project x), and also our conflict management training as well as launch a public facing campaign.

An announcement of a new partner will be forthcoming in the following days.
