SH L!ve returns bigger and better next year as it makes it debut in London

SH L!ve the Safer Highways organised integrated exhibition and learning experience is to return bigger and better next year as it makes it debut in London.

Taking place at the Evolution London venue in Battersea Park on June 8th and 9th 2022, SH L!ve will once again bring innovation, insight and the latest thinking on health, safety and wellbeing to the forefront of the highways and infrastructure sectors by delivering a two-day event for the sector, showcasing the latest innovation, products, concepts and services-both inside and out- alongside a number of conferences, seminars and interactive learning hubs, developing SH L!ve into the UK’s only Highways Centric Industry Wide Safety Stand down event.

The event will bring together directors, managers and operatives working on both the strategic and local networks to help take forward the Safer Highways initiative of creating a safer road network for both road workers and road users. Safer Highways work is helping the highways sector become the beacon of best practice for the good management of all health, safety and wellbeing issues, and that other sectors look to us as leaders in this field.

The two-day event will now boast a number of new and innovative features, never seen at any event in our sector before.

It remains the only FREE TO ATTEND industry-wide event targeted at those who are responsible for carrying out works on our public highways safely.

SHL!ve will feature the following:

  • A unique outdoor innovation trail showcasing the finest in new thinking from across the supply chain.

  • Interactive and immersive learning sessions enabling attendees to disseminate best practice throughout their own organisations post event.

  • Interactive features And peer to peer learning zones

  • Industry leading thought leaders Conducting workshops on how to become a high performance member of a team.

  • Taster sessions of training courses.

  • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the opportunity to network with peers with the aims of true collaboration, sharing innovation and learning from our peers - ALL FOR FREE.

Already confirmed for the event are leading contractors such as Amey, Balfour Beatty, Kier, Galliford Try, Tarmac, Interserve and Morgan Sindall as well as WJ Group, SRL and many others as Safer Highways continues to increase its membership. Alongside this, several thought leaders will give their latest views, ideas and thinking on how to take forward the latest innovations and learning and apply it best to our sector.

Kevin Robinson, Chief Executive of Safer Highways said:

“As an organisation that promotes the health, safety and wellbeing of workers across all levels in the industry, it wouldn’t be right for us to ask industry to come to an event this year where we couldn’t guarantee their safety. Instead, we look forward to next year as an opportunity to deliver an event that will be bigger but most importantly better than before with a number of new concepts and initiatives over two-days both inside and out.”

Despite expressing disappointment over a decision to move the event for a second time Mr Robinson did actually find positives to have emerged as a result of the delay.

He continued,

“2020 and now 2021’s challenges have afforded the time to really look at not just at how our event engages with the supply chain over the coming years but also to look for a home in which SHL!ve can continue to grow and thrive.

“In Evolution London we believe we have genuinely found this. Originally recommended by our ops team, the can-do attitude of the staff at the venue and indeed the open and honest way we have gone about securing a venue were a complete breath of fresh air.
“We look forward to working with the venue for many years to come.”

Safer Highways 2022 will take place at Evolution London on 8th and 9th June. To enquire about participating in the event email events@saferhighways.co.uk
