Road users and local communities are being encouraged to take part in a new phase of public engagement on the future of the M8 Woodside Viaducts.

Transport Scotland is inviting feedback on early-stage options for a permanent intervention at the site, with a series of in-person exhibitions and an online event planned.

The sessions will provide an overview of the emerging proposals and explain the approach being taken to develop a long-term solution for this section of the motorway. Representatives from Transport Scotland and its technical adviser, WSP, will be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback.

Hok-Weng Chau, M8 Woodside Project Manager at Transport Scotland, said the events are designed to give the public a meaningful opportunity to help shape the plans.

“The public engagement events next week are an opportunity for road users and the community to view and comment on the early emerging options,” he said. “I would encourage anyone with an interest in the project to come along to one of the events or view the material online and share their feedback to help shape the future plan for this part of the M8 motorway.”

Public engagement events:

  • Wednesday 25 February, noon–7pmDundasvale Residents Hall and Community Hub, 12 Dundasvale Court, Glasgow, G4 0JS

  • Wednesday 4 March, 10am–5pmWoodside Halls, 36 Glenfarg Street, Glasgow, G20 7QE
