Pothole-busting app launched in bid to repair Gloucestershire’s road network

Motorists and pedestrians have a new way to report problems potholes and paths after county bosses launched an app. The tool is designed to be a “new, easier and more efficient way for residents, businesses and organisations in Gloucestershire to report and get updates on everything from potholes to problem paths”.

It comes after the council was given an extra £87.9m in funding from the government to repair the county’s roads network. It means that eight additional roads will be resurfaced this year as the cash is released in chunks over the next ten years.

People can report issues such as the condition of the roads, broken traffic lights, issues with streetlights, flooding issues or drainage through to road markings and grass verges through Fix My Street. The problems can be highlighted through an interactive online map, or via an app.
