Network Plus, a leading UK utility & infrastructure services provider, has today announced the acquisition of Claret Civil Engineering Ltd (Claret), a specialist wastewater and civil engineering contractor, headquartered in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Claret brings over 30 years of experience delivering turnkey solutions across the water, wastewater, and wider infrastructure sectors. Established in 1994, the Business expands upon Network Plus’s existing wastewater capability including both network maintenance and enhancement activities. It’s experience ranges from specialist jetting, lining and CCTV services through to larger network enhancement schemes, operating within several highly collaborative Tier 1 frameworks.

This is the latest in a series of strategic acquisitions to enhance Network Plus’s service proposition and geographical coverage, following the successful acquisitions of Littlewood Fencing, AC Landscapes, EOS and Overlec.

“This acquisition aligns perfectly with Network Plus’s vision of expanding our integrated service offerings to the UK infrastructure market, particularly within the Water and Wastewater sector,” said Kevin Fowlie, CEO of Network Plus. “Claret’s strong track record and unique combination of both maintenance and enhancement capability will be a great asset to both Network Plus and our clients during a period of unprecedented investment in the Water sector”.

Andy Gibbons, Managing Director of Claret, commented: “Joining forces with Network Plus will allow our team to combine strengths, access broader opportunities and continue delivering the innovation and reliability our clients expect.”

Claret will operate as part of the Network Plus group, retaining its existing leadership, skilled workforce, and brand. Clients and projects will benefit from enhanced resourcing, wider group infrastructure, and national reach without disruption.
