National Highways outlines SDF 2 framework worth £14.5bn

National Highways publish SDF2 Framework to cover 8 year period starting in 2027.
The framework will replace the existing SDF contracts which expire in early 2027.
SDF2 will be a vehicle to procure design services and works actross the 4,500 miles of the strategic road network and a number of A roads across England.
On issuing publishing the framework National Highways stated its intent to refine how it collaborates with its supply chain across the delivery of small and medium sized schemes, enabling ommunity and social enterprise organisations to access work.
According to the pipeline notice, National Highways aims to appoint specialist contractors to deliver civil and structural renewals, barrier and drainage schemes, pavement upgrades, traffic management and associated design work. These services will be delivered in all regions of England, as with the previous frameworks.
