Experienced energy sector leader Daniel Clark takes on business development role spanning highways, water and aviation as Morgan Sindall targets growth across critical national infrastructure markets.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Daniel Clark as Business Development Director for its Water, Aviation and Highways business, reinforcing the contractor's ambitions across some of the UK's fastest-growing infrastructure sectors.

Clark brings more than 14 years of experience from within Morgan Sindall's Energy business, where he most recently led bid management activities on major infrastructure opportunities, helping secure complex engineering programmes across the UK.

His appointment represents a strategic move as the contractor continues to expand its presence in sectors expected to attract significant public and private investment over the coming decade.

From Energy to Critical Infrastructure

A qualified electrical engineer, Clark has built his career delivering and securing technically complex infrastructure projects.

Alongside his leadership role in bid management, he previously worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer within Morgan Sindall Professional Services, giving him both technical and commercial experience across multidisciplinary engineering environments.

His new position broadens that remit considerably, placing him at the forefront of business development across highways, water and aviation—three sectors facing unprecedented levels of investment as the UK modernises ageing infrastructure, strengthens resilience and supports economic growth.

Returning to Familiar Markets

Speaking about the appointment, Clark described the move as an opportunity to reconnect with industries that helped shape his early career while embracing new markets and client relationships.

He said the role offered the chance to contribute to projects ranging from strategic water infrastructure and nationally important aviation assets through to the highways network that underpins the movement of people and goods across the country.

Clark also highlighted the opportunity for both personal and business growth as Morgan Sindall continues to expand its infrastructure portfolio.

Supporting Long-Term Growth

His appointment comes at a time when demand for infrastructure expertise continues to accelerate.

Across the highways sector, major investment programmes are progressing through National Highways' Road Investment Strategy, while local authorities continue to expand highway maintenance and resilience programmes.

In water, the industry's AMP8 investment cycle is generating record levels of capital expenditure, while aviation infrastructure is also entering a new phase of development as airports invest in capacity, decarbonisation and passenger experience.

Morgan Sindall's Water, Aviation and Highways division is expected to play a significant role in delivering projects across all three markets.
