A planned weekend closure of the M3 has been postponed due to high wind forecast.
National Highways have postponed the work, at Junction 3 Lightwater Interchange, for one week.
The A322 northbound closure will now take place from 9pm on Friday, 28 February until 6am on Monday, 3 March.
National Highways Project Manager, Emma Weston, said: “We always try to inform motorists in advance of any road closures but sometimes the weather can have an impact on scheduled work and we have to re-schedule our plans.”
A second-weekend closure at the A322 southbound has subsequently been pushed back.
The latest Met Office forecast for the area shows heavy rain and strong wind on Sunday, February 22.
The forecast reads: "Cloudy Saturday, with rain or showers slowly clearing east and afternoon sunny spells. Further rain, and strong winds later Sunday. Monday cloudy, some showers perhaps persistent rain far south."
