Leicestershire's most bashed railway bridge has been hit again this morning (Sunday, January 26). A lorry has hit the Watling Street/A5 bridge in Hinckley, a spokeswoman for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) has said.

LFRS said it received a call to the scene at 8.32am. One fire officer from Leicestershire was called to the scene, alongside a crew from Nuneaton Station in Warwickshire.

A spokesman for National Highways said it was believed that "minimal damage" had been done to the bridge following the crash.
