Kier Group has begun the new financial year with significant momentum, expanding its pipeline of work and securing nearly all expected revenue for 2025/26.

A series of major contract wins across infrastructure, utilities, and public sector construction has strengthened the company’s outlook and lifted its order book to £11.6bn.

Kier Group has kicked off the 2025/26 financial year on a strong footing, expanding its order book to roughly £11.6bn. This marks an increase from the £11bn recorded at the close of June 2025 and is driven by a series of recent infrastructure and construction contract awards.

In an update released ahead of its AGM, the company confirmed that 94% of its projected revenue for the year ending June 2026 is already secured. As in previous years, Kier expects its performance to be more heavily weighted toward the second half of the financial year.

Among the major contracts announced is a £700m, long-term highways and infrastructure deal with Norfolk County Council, set to begin in April 2026 and lasting up to 14 years.

Kier has also been selected to carry out £205m of reservoir upgrades for United Utilities as part of AMP8, as well as four school construction projects with a combined value of around £190m.

Additionally, the firm has secured a £116m contract from the Ministry of Justice to deliver 240 new prison places at HMP Lancaster Farms under the Small Secure Houseblocks Programme alliance.
