Keltbray Launches AI and Data Academy with Multiverse

Keltbray has launched a new AI and data training programme in partnership with upskilling provider Multiverse, enrolling an initial cohort of 25 staff across two Level 3 academies focused on generative AI and data analysis.
The construction engineering specialist said the initiative forms part of a broader push to strengthen digital capability as it delivers projects in highly regulated infrastructure markets. Keltbray operates across engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, environmental services and reinforced concrete frameworks.
Two Targeted Programmes
The first cohort is split between:
AI Powered Productivity – focused on generative AI tools in workplace environments, including Microsoft 365 Copilot
Data & Insights for Business Decisions – centred on improving business analysis, reporting and data-led decision-making
Most participants will complete the AI productivity programme, applying tools directly to office-based workflows and collaborative project tasks.
Keltbray expects the training to reduce time spent on repetitive administrative processes, improve internal communication and strengthen the quality of documentation.
Operational and Governance Focus
The programme has been positioned as an operational enabler rather than a technology experiment. With increasing volumes of digital documentation across engineering and infrastructure projects, companies are under pressure to improve data traceability, reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
Security, compliance and responsible AI usage are also central to the agenda, particularly for projects delivered in regulated sectors such as energy and nuclear.
Construction and engineering firms have accelerated their focus on automation and structured data management as clients demand greater transparency and assurance. While generative AI adoption is rising in administrative functions, many organisations remain cautious about governance frameworks and output reliability.
Keltbray said the academies aim to create internal consistency in how teams use AI tools and interpret data, enabling staff to shift focus from manual processes toward planning, strategy and higher-value work.
Supporting Sector Growth
The business expects the programme to support expansion across the energy, digital infrastructure, industrial and nuclear markets — sectors characterised by complex stakeholder environments and strict compliance requirements.
The company said building in-house data and AI capability will strengthen its ability to compete for contracts where documentation standards, reporting transparency and digital traceability increasingly influence procurement decisions.

Workplace Learning Model
Multiverse will deliver the training while participants remain in their roles, embedding practical application alongside formal instruction.
The provider says it has trained more than 20,000 apprentices in AI, data and digital skills since 2016 and works with over 1,500 employers across the UK and US.

Multiverse attracted significant investor backing during the surge in demand for AI-related skills, securing a $220m Series D funding round in 2022, valuing the business at $1.7bn.
Keltbray added that the programme aligns with its wider inclusion and accessibility priorities, offering structured development routes for employees at different stages of their careers. The company expects learning from the first cohort to be applied across teams as the academies evolve.
