Kier Group has appointed Joe Incutti as Group Managing Director of its Infrastructure division, overseeing a business with more than 6,000 employees and an annual turnover of £2 billion.

The Infrastructure division brings together Kier’s design, construction, and maintenance operations across roads, rail, aviation, water, energy, and environmental sectors. Announcing the appointment on social media, Mr Incutti wrote:

"I'm thrilled to share that I'm starting a new position as Group Managing Director - Kier Infrastructure at Kier Group! The Kier Infrastructure division combines Kier's design, build and maintenance capabilities across the road, rail, aviation, water, energy and environment sectors."

Mr Incutti has accumulated 15 years of experience at Kier, most recently as group managing director of the company’s Transportation division. Prior to joining Kier, he held senior roles across banking, manufacturing, defence, and the NHS, giving him a broad cross-sector perspective.

A highly regarded figure in the highways sector, Mr Incutti is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation and a founder member of the Highways Sector Council. He is also a qualified accountant with experience in acquisitions, driving change, and business improvement across multiple industries.

In his professional profile, Mr Incutti emphasizes building long-term collaborative relationships with government, clients, supply chain partners, and peers, as well as supporting diversity, inclusion, and enabling staff to reach their potential.

The move comes following the retirement of Andrew Davies, the former chief executive of Kier Infrastructure, who stepped down on 31 October 2025. He was succeeded by Stuart Togwell.

Kier also saw a key leadership change in its finance team late last year, with chief financial officer Simon Kestertonstepping down. Tom Hinton has now assumed the role. Mr Kesterton was credited with strengthening Kier’s balance sheet and steering the company through a successful recovery period.
