The London Borough of Hillingdon is offering a £127.9 million contract for long-term road work and maintenance services.
The contract will start in April 2026 and run for seven years, until March 2033. There is an option to extend it for another five years, which would take it to March 2038, depending on a review of the work and costs.
The winning company will handle both construction and maintenance jobs, including:
Road safety improvements
Parking and traffic management projects
Work funded by the council, Transport for London (TfL), and other sources
Regular repairs like fixing potholes, cleaning drains, and fixing sidewalks
Installing driveways and heavy vehicle access points
Clearing ditches and drainage systems
Work will take place in areas like Harrow and Hillingdon, including locations such as the Harlington Road depot.
Small and medium-sized businesses are encouraged to apply.
Bids must be submitted by 19 September 2025, and the winner will be announced by 18 December 2025. The decision will be based 60% on price and 40% on quality.
The contract is open to all qualified bidders and will be handled through the Proactis procurement system.
