Highway Care builds business development expertise with new hire



Highway Care has appointed Melanie Powell to the post of business development manager, as part of the company’s strategic growth plan.


Joining the company with a proven track record in the highways sector across previous business development and contract management roles, Melanie brings excellent industry contacts to Highway Care team, as well as a wealth of knowledge.


Her remit will include responsibility for looking after Highway Care’s portfolio of SMA crash cushions and end terminals, along with the Tertu TimberRail vehicle restraint system.


Melanie will also take the business development lead for Highway Care’s range of certified hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) systems, which include the rapid deployment RB50 system and drop and go system, The Claw.


An excellent communicator with a proven track record of building strong customer relationships and providing after sales support throughout the project delivery cycle, Melanie joins Highway Care at a time of innovation and investment. The company launched its Falcon automated cone laying machine last year, which is currently being deployed by Balfour Beatty on the M25, and has a number of new products currently in development.
