Council bosses have issued a hilarious response to singer Amy Macdonald's suggestion for fixing the city's roads.
The singer shared a clip of Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger helping his neighbours fix the road surface, and called on Glasgow City Council to 'get him phoned'.
Now the council has responded to the hilarious query that the Hollywood legend could be enlisted to help repair potential road issues.
A spokesperson said: “We understand why a movie legend maintaining a road surface has attracted attention, but this is not a course of action we can support in Glasgow.
“Only a roads authority such as a council can undertake or instruct repairs by an accredited contractor.
“Anyone undertaking such work without the proper authority can be fined or become liable for any damage caused by their repair.
“We’ll be sure to tell Mr Schwarzenegger about this the next time we see him.”
