National Highways chairman to deliver keynote address at this year’s ceremony.
Safer Highways are delighted to announce that Dipesh J Shah OBE, the chairman of National Highways is to the deliver the opening address of this year’s Highways Heroes awards.
Appointed Non-Executive Chair of the government owned company in September 2020, Mr Shah’s career spanned both the public and private sectors.
He was formerly CEO of the UK Atomic Energy Authority and of large businesses in BP.
A former Chairman of, among others, a FTSE-listed power utility, the European industry association for solar, a housing association and a private equity fund for renewables. Also served on the Boards of Babcock International Group Plc, Lloyd’s of London, The Crown Estate, and Thames Water, Mr Shah is also former member of the Government’s Renewable Energy Advisory Committee
Taking place on the 2nd December at the QEII convention centre in Westminster the Highways Heroes awards will be a celebration of those individuals who have gone over and above their job role and really made a difference to their peers and members of the public.
