COLAS CONTINUES LONG PARTNERSHIP WITH LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

Leeds City Council has announced that it has awarded Colas Ltd a place on its Medium Works Contractor Framework.

The two-year framework, with an option to extend to a maximum of 4 years, is valued at £90m and Colas is one of four contractors on the framework which will deliver schemes valued between £2m and £7m.

Having worked with Leeds City Council (LCC) on the Highways Term Maintenance framework since 2003, and with a strong established presence in the city, Colas is well placed to deliver schemes under the new framework. The experienced team successfully delivered the City Connect 2 and 3 projects recently, as well as over 140 projects for LCC just last year. Having secured the Minor Works Contractor Framework Lot 1 in June 2021, this new framework will further add to the opportunities Colas is able to create for local employment and community support activities.

Director of Regional Operations North at Colas, Louis Ledoux added “We are proud of the strong, positive relationship we have nurtured with Leeds City Council over the last nineteen years and with the local community of Leeds. The entire team at Colas are delighted to be continuing to build on that further with this framework, which will also see us able to continue our collaborative approach with local businesses and suppliers. We look forward to delivering more great projects for Leeds City Council and the local community.”

Paul Russell Civil Engineering Manager (Major Schemes and Procurement) at Leeds City Council said, “Colas are a long-standing key supply chain partner for the Highways and Transportation Service within Leeds City Council, and I look forward to extending this relationship with them as part of the new Intermediate Works Contractor Framework commencing with the Fink Hill Scheme”.
