Carnell is delighted to announce that the company has been awarded the prestigious Investors in Diversity Silver Accreditation by the National Centre for Diversity.

This is a major milestone in its ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable working environment.

The Investors in Diversity framework is recognised as one of the UK’s leading equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) standards. It assesses organisations’ progress in embedding the core principles of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE).

The Silver Award acknowledges businesses that can demonstrate tangible, organisation-wide culture change and a clear dedication to continuous improvement.

Being an inclusive employer has never been more important. In 2025, employees and stakeholders expect businesses to champion diversity, create safe and supportive environments, and actively challenge inequality. Inclusive organisations are proven to be more innovative, more resilient, and better positioned to attract and retain top talent, ultimately strengthening their long-term success.

For Carnell, this recognition reinforces the value of a workplace where every individual can contribute, grow, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

“This is fantastic recognition of the effort we have put into making Carnell a truly inclusive place to work,” said Adrian Oulds, Business Director at Carnell. “It demonstrates how far we’ve already come but also motivates us to keep improving. We want everyone at Carnell to feel that they belong, and that their voice matters.”

The Silver Accreditation reflects the hard work and commitment of people across the organisation to ensure every colleague feels valued and supported. It also reinforces Carnell’s ambition to continue elevating its EDI standards as the company progresses toward achieving the Gold Award in the future.

In addition, Carnell has been placed 52nd in the Top 100 Inclusive Employers list in 2025, which is ranked by the National Centre for Diversity, who happen to be celebrating their 20th year operating. Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive at the National Centre for Diversity said: “I send my warmest congratulations to Carnell Group on successfully reaching number 52 in the Top 100 Most Inclusive UK Employers Index 2025. The inspiring organisations that make the Top 100, demonstrate excellent levels of employee retention and recruitment and clearly demonstrate how they value and respect the people that work for them. What better than to be recognised by peers and those travelling in the same direction towards the common goal of Fairness in the workplace. It is hugely motivational.”
