Work is about to get under way on a £1.6m road improvement scheme in Bridlington.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said work would take place in four stages, beginning on 30 September.
Councillor Paul West, cabinet member for environment and transport, said: “This is a big investment as these roads and footpaths in Bridlington need to be upgraded for the future.”
As part of the scheme, a new zebra crossing will be installed on Scarborough Road. Some roads will be fully resurfaced, with others patched up, the authority added.
Flamborough Road is also included in the scheme
Other roads included in the scheme are:
Flamborough Road
Marton Road
Cliff Road, Sewerby
Albert Street
Sandsacre Road
Clarence Road,
St Stephens Road
St Thomas Road
St Andrew Road,
Travis Street
North Street
Most of the work will be carried out in the evening, avoiding busy times, the council said.
The work is expected to be completed by March 2025. Further details can be found on the council's website, external.
