AMCOGIFFEN LAUNCHES COAST TO COAST BIKE RIDE TO RAISE £10K FOR CHARITY IN HONOUR OF COLLEAGUE.

Last year the company lost its Regional Managing Director for Scotland, Peter Ritchie following a short crusade against Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).

Peter left an enduring impact on his colleagues who decided to honour his memory by embarking on a challenging 105-mile coast-to-coast bike ride from Allonby, Cumbria to Tynemouth, North Tyneside.

Peter joined AmcoGiffen in May 2021 and in that short time, he inspired colleagues with his positive approach to life, work, and family, his dedication to nurturing future talent, and his impassioned leadership style.

Peter was fit and active before and during his illness, training for the London marathon to raise funds for AMMF, which is the UK’s only Cholangiocarcinoma charity, dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and offering valuable support for patients and families affected by this devastating form of cancer.

Peter sadly passed in October 2022 without achieving his goal and the bike ride is a fitting tribute to Peter, his family, and his friends to continue raising funds for the charity in his memory.

The team of around 13 includes members from AmcoGiffen’s key collaborative supply chain partners, Flannery, Speedy Hire, Keyline and Nixon. They’re currently in training and gearing up for the epic adventure which is set to take place over 18 to 20 October 2023.

The company is seeking donations to help reach the colossal £10k target the team has set itself to raise valuable funds for AMMF. Click the link to the Just Giving Page where you can donate and follow their journey. https://tinyurl.com/f33dpb2k

AmcoGiffen is very proud of its colleagues and thanks the whole team for their dedication and commitment as well as supply partners Flannery, Speedy Hire, Nixon, and KeyLine for their support and participation.

Every donation, no matter the size will have a significant impact on those touched by Cholangiocarcinoma.
