A63 Castle Street tops National Highways Customer Audit charts.

The A63 Castle St scheme has topped the charts in the National Highways customer audits this month - with 99%.

This is after a consistently high performance, and ranks us against all of National Highways major projects in the country.

The customer audits ensure sites look tidy, safe, well managed and minimise the impact on the customer.

Carried out by Balfour Beatty, the scheme will create a new junction by lowering the level of the A63 at the Mytongate junction.

Ferensway and Commercial Road would cross the A63 creating a split-level junction.

Between Princes Dock Street and Market Place we propose to widen the eastbound carriageway to three lanes.

The scheme will also construct a new bridge over the A63 at Porter Street. These improvements will improve access to the port, congestion, safety and connections between the city centre and the tourist and recreational facilities.
