Big Idea live finalist in Focus. - HAV-Sentry, a unique w timeearable device which monitors Hand Arm Vibration in real.
Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome is one of the biggest health risks faced by workers in the construction & infrastructure industry. The HAV-Sentry is the only wireless wearable device that actually measures vibration exposure in real time, compliant to the relevant standards.
This patented technology has disrupted the UK market since it's launch in 2021. The glove is comfortable and non-intrusive with the task, it measures vibration as perceived by the human hand, it measures grip strength and also hand orientation which is translated into posture analysis on the HAV-Sentry Online Dashboard. Thus, uniquely providing all the relevant parameters for a comprehensive risk assessment which is unmatched in terms of level of detail.
The HAV-Sentry is already in use with multiple companies and governmental organisations in the UK and Canada. More information at https://ferarudynamics.co.uk
IF YOU WERE TO BE A BIG IDEA WINNER HOW WOULD YOU UTILISE THE SPONSORSHIP OF A TIER 1 CONTRACTOR (500 WORDS)
The sponsorship will allow for a much needed scale-up phase to produce more HAV-Sentry Systems in order to cope with industry demand. The sponsorship will also enhance the service capabilities our team is able to provide by increasing the number of people. The sponsorship will help the company accelerate with software development plans to incorporate machine learning and mobile app functionalities that will allow Tier 1 contractors to manage their workforce safety and productivity.
In making HAV-Sentry one of his final six, judge Steve Perkins said,
"HAV Sentry vibration monitoring gloves are innovative, because they directly measure the vibration experienced by the body. This eliminates the many errors in calculation methods. Providing real time accurate feedback means health can be much better protected and workers can be trained on the job to manage their exposure."
As a part of this year's SHL!ve Safer Highways set a big idea challenge to SME and start up organisations to come up with solutions to challenges we currently face as a sector.
