Safer Highways led contest sees investment in three start up organisations.
Three start up organisations have won investment from major tier 1 contractors as winners of this year's The Big Idea contest.
Held yesterday, 29th September, as the climax of this year's SHL!ve event and Hosted by Rich Marshall of National Highways, the competition yielded three individual winners who each received the backing of one of the four dragons at this year's event.
The individual winners were:
Cover Me a tool for eliminating the need for ladders when dealing with defective traffic signals which saw inventor Peter Hoban bag dragon Carole Bardell-Wise, Health and Safety Director of Morgan Sindall.
Luma 1, an online training solution who David Lowery, Managing Director of Galliford Try elected to resource and,
EHAB, a weather prediction tool which aims to streamline the predictions of works by running multiple scenarios based on historic data to deliver efficiencies which found its self closing between two dragons, Andy Johnson, Innovation Director of Bam and Phil Clifton, Managing Director of Balfour Beatty, with founder Josh Graham agreeing to a joint venture proposal from both.
With over 130 entries and a varied final six, the culmination of the event was an audience vote for their Big Idea of 2022 which involved all six finalists which was eventually won jointly by both Hav Sentry and Ladder Locker.
