Skanska Infrastructure invites you to meet with colleagues, customers, joint venture partners and our supply chain to improve the safety, health and wellbeing of our industry. The Zero Accident Forum is a chance to learn about new technology and initiatives, discuss safe ways of working, and share ideas on best practice.
After a successful first virtual event, the ZAF will once again be held online. This time, the theme is Fatigue, with particular focus on understanding what influences fatigue, how to spot the first signs and shared learning from elite sport. Fatigue isn’t simply feeling sleepy or tired – it is a decrease in mental and physical health and performance. This means it affects our moods, how we think, our risk appetite, and how we behave.
We will be joined by former England international, and Senior Lecturer in Physical Activity, Exercise and Health at the University of Portsmouth, Dr Zoe Saynor, who will be talking about how Harlequins Rugby Club manage fatigue with their players and the importance of good nutrition.
Yoga and fitness instructor, Helena Byles, will also be running interactive sessions showing the importance of exercise and talking about how sleep can impact fatigue.
The online broadcast will start at 10.00am at skanskazaf.co.uk and be finished by 1.00pm. We reccommend you to log on a couple of minutes early to ensure you can connect. Prior to joining, it is recommended you disconnect from any Skanska VPNyou are logged into.
We will be taking questions throughout the event on www.slido.com, where you can access the event portal using the code #ZAF.
If you have any questions, please contact us at zaf@skanska.co.uk
