Road safety specialist DELTABLOC is the latest industry company to join Safer Highways as members, marking the continuation of a productive start to the year for the organisation.
DELTABLOC is added to a long line of highways companies joining as members in the last three months to help Safer Highways create safer roads for road users and roadworkers.
The rise in membership comes after a strong year for Safer Highways despite the challenges of Covid-19. It also comes ahead of a busy year in 2021, with programmes such as Stamp It Out, mental health-including the Thriving at Work Survey and Mental Health Summit and a new mental health programme soon to be launched. These will run alongside programmes on service strikes, drugs and alcohol and people/plant interface.
Speaking about DELTABLOC’s membership, Kevin Wrigglesworth, Business Operations Manager said: “For over 20 years DELTABLOC have been fully committed to delivering world leading safety barrier systems. But it doesn’t stop at the products we develop, we are passionate about the safety of our workforce and their health and wellbeing. Being a member of the Safer Highways community seemed like a perfect fit as we look to collaborate with our peers and share best practice across our industry.”
DELTABLOC is the world's leading developer of concrete and steel vehicle restraint systems and of modern noise protection systems. Their range of products is under constant development and are fully tested to ensure that the highest levels of safety are achieved. Patented DELTABLOC safety barrier systems are now successfully installed in over 45 countries across the world.
Welcoming DELTABLOC into membership, Kevin Robinson, Chief Executive of Safer Highways said: “It is a pleasure to welcome yet another company with an excellent reputation of safety into membership to help us grow and define the way we move forward with our mission to make the highways sector becomes a beacon of best practice for the good management of all health, safety and wellbeing issues, and that other sectors look to us as leaders in this field.”
