Safer Highways launches the SHAwards - dedicated to the health, safety and wellbeing sector.

Safer Highways, organisers of SHL!ve, is proud to announce the launch of the very first SHAwards, where the sector starts celebrating excellence again.

Taking place on the 15th September at Silverstone to coincide with SHL!ve (15th & 16th September, also at Silverstone), never before has there been an awards scheme dedicated to recognising best practice, innovation and thought leadership in health, safety and wellbeing.

The SHAwards brings together the whole of the health, safety and wellbeing sector as a platform for recognition for those dedicated to improving the lives of road workers and road users.

Kevin Robinson, Chief Executive of Safer Highways, said:

“The SHAwards take the whole purpose of why Safer Highways was set up in the first place to a different level. This is a real opportunity to recognise and share all the hard work, effort, investment, resources that the health, safety and wellbeing sector and the wider highways industry puts into making the lives of road workers and road users safer, healthier and more efficient and effective. This is the ideal place to share and collaborate best practice in this sector and reward those that have done this to the highest of standards and this is one of the many reasons why I am proud to launch these awards.”

The SHAwards will be one of the first opportunities for the industry to come together after a challenging year. The awards will be judged in two halves; by the industry and then a dedicated independent judging panel.
