Safer Highways Launches COVID-19 Action log

As part of its commitment to foster a culture around effective sharing of best practice without prejudice across the sector, Safer Highways are launching a COVID-19 action log.

Our aim, through this log, is to enable all contractors, irrespective of size, to learn from the business adjustments we have all been forced to make at this time of a global crisis in order to keep essential services, of which our industry is one, functioning.

Speaking about the launch of the initiative, Holly Banks, Operations Director of Safer Highways said,

“We all understand the many sacrifices that individual organisations, irrespective of size, are making in these testing times.
“However when we emerge from the current situation, I feel that there should be a period when we reflect upon what we have learned, not just organisationally, but also as an industry.
“The aim of our action log is to enable organisations to have a central place to document these, at which point my team will then collate these into a review document for circulation across not just our own sector, but also broader industry.
“What we ask is that every time you make any adjustments to the way you normally would carry out daily tasks, this is logged through the action log, in order that we can then produce shared learning for the benefit of organisations, large and small.
“We hope that these collective adaptations will help guide the industry to be able to best manage their business practices and working environment when faced with times of unprecedented adversity.”

The log, which launches today will be in the format of a simple online form which is free to access for both member and non-member organisations and will form the basis of a Thought Leadership Summit towards the end of the year.

Safer Highways thanks not only our membership but also the broader community for your anticipated participation and continued support in these troubled times.
