Safer Highways are pleased to announce that we have forged another strong partnership with the team at the British Safety Industry Federation.
Under the terms of the agreement both organisations will become associate members of the other and BSIF Will utilise the Safer Highways channels to communicate valuable information to our membership.
Set up in 1994, the Federation has a membership ranging from manufacturers and distributors of safety products through to test houses, certification bodies, specialist service providers and safety professionals. Today the BSIF is firmly established as a major voice of the British safety industry, helping to both influence legislation and provide industry in general with a source of authoritative information on a range of workplace safety issues, while representing the needs of its members.
Speaking about the announcement, Safer Highways Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Robinson explained why the shared goals of both organisations made the tie-up a logical step. He said, ”Safer Highways vision to deliver long lasting and continued improvements throughout our supply chain is not something we can do alone. ”In order to continue to drive standards we must effectively collaborate and draw on knowledge and best practice from outside of our sector, something we have done through partnerships with the British Safety Council and the British Occupational Hygiene Society as well as sector specific groups, ”Joint-working with the BSIF will enable us to achieve more around raising the standards and level of understanding around the procurement of PPE.” Under the agreement BSIF will be taking an area of the floorspace at SHL!ve and delivering masterclass sessions in the Top to Toe protection theatre.
