SRL’s success over the last few years has been extraordinary. The growth we’ve experienced means we’re ready for the next phase in our journey, so we need to make sure we have the structure and talent in place to realise our potential.
With that in mind, we are excited to welcome Lucy Kennedy as Head of Human Resources.
Lucy brings with her the benefit of more than 10 years’ experience working with high profile businesses in the engineering sector where she discovered a passion for organisations - or rather the people who work in them - who create innovative products.
In her role at SRL she will be responsible for ensuring each member of the SRL team feels supported, empowered and excited about helping the business realise its commercial ambitions.
Lucy joined us at the beginning of February and has already been out and about, visiting several of our depots and our new Technical Centre. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty either and has already learnt how to do a battery exchange!
Just three weeks in she reflects:
‘I’ve been blown away by the people I’ve met so far. We are lucky to have so much technical knowledge, industry experience and loyalty. It’s a fantastic foundation to build on. I see my role as making sure everyone can focus on their job, understand what the business needs from them, and continue to feel motivated to work as part of the SRL team.’
A graduate from the University of Manchester and dog parent to cocker spaniel Darcy, Lucy has the energy, experience and insight needed to unlock SRL’s full potential.
Excited about the months ahead Lucy’s mission is simple:
‘I want everyone who works so hard for SRL to know that they are valued and supported. With that in place, the sky’s the limit for what this business can achieve.’
