As part of its ongoing commitment to having a positive impact, engineering and construction company nmcn has produced story sacks to share with children’s educational facilities across the South West and Midlands.
The aim is to inspire the next generation in their early years by highlighting the variety of career opportunities available in the construction sector.
Featuring the company’s award-winning children’s book, ‘When I Grow Up’, the story sacks also contain nmcn branded hard hats and hi vis jackets so the children have the opportunity to replicate what it’s like to be part of the story.
Heather Nash, Customer Liaison Officer for nmcn’s Water team in the South West, said: “We are delighted to be able to introduce children to our exciting industry in this way – currently we have interacted with over 30 nurseries within the South West and are about to launch in the Midlands.
“A big thank you to our PPE suppliers PWS for providing us with the PPE for the sacks – we are truly grateful for their support as without it the community interaction wouldn’t be possible.”
Mama Bears representative Charlotte said: “When we received the sacks we sat and spoke to the children about the items and read the book. We asked the children what they would like to be when they are older. These included, ‘a daddy, a builder, a nurse, a chef, a police officer, a fireman, a vet, a queen and many more!
“Thank you to Heather for making contact with us and we very much look forward to working with nmcn in the future.”
