Mental Health Awareness Week Day 2 | Is loneliness a mental health problem?

To commemorate Mental Health Awareness week, Safer Highways are publishing a series of downloadable resources. On our second day of MH awareness week, Jamie Forsyth, The Wellbeing Geek, highlights the connection between loneliness and mental health.

Designed by our wellbeing coach, Jamie Forsyth, the four resource tools will be released one a day across the week in a downloadable poster format.

Together, we can tackle loneliness.

One in four adults feel lonely some or all of the time. There’s no single cause and there’s no one solution. After all, we’re all different! But, the longer we feel lonely, the more we are at risk of mental health problems. Some people are also at higher risk of feeling lonely than others.

For Mental Health Awareness Week this year, we're raising awareness of the impact of loneliness on our mental health and the practical steps we can take to address it.

Please download and share our resource to help spread the word for Mental Health Awareness Week.
